Godlen Gate Yacht Club ran their second heat in the 51st Manuel Fagundes Seaweed Soup Regatta in scattered showers, light air and a big ebb. A northeasterly prompted an eastbound start to Blossom Rock. On the final (upwind) leg to the finish, the IOD La Paloma fetched up on sand. A crewmember hopped out, and in water up to his waist attempted to push the antique boat off the bottom, to no avail. It took a pair of RIBs to get the job done.
