Sunday's Great Pumpkin pursuit race had a big breeze and powerful current at the Alcatraz convergence zone contrasted with a wind hole and whirlpool at Point Stuart. The day did not go well for all competitors; multiple collisions were reported, as well as an injury requiring stitches and one dismasting (Lois Lane).
