Pier Extraction

Take good care of your teeth; once one is pulled it's never coming back. That's what your dentist says, and it holds true for the San Francisco Port District as Piers 36 and 38 are being removed. No America's Cup 34 deal will help the cause, and once they're gone only a big hole will be left. Maybe sometime in the future a nice anchorage or mooring field can be placed in the resulting open space. No foolin'.
