Armed Forces Cup
On Wednesday evening, May 27, the U.S. Coast Guard won the first annual American Armed Forces Cup. The Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines competed with vigor in the four races. These photos were taken from the Race Committee boat.

Club Nautique’s Ballena Isle location in Alameda provided the venue and the five evenly-matched Colgate 26 sailboats. Instructors were assigned to each boat; a crew of three members of each military team doing the actual sailing.

The Coast Guard will be called upon to defend the American Armed Forces Cup perpetual trophy next year.
