Two good races and plenty of sunshine were the highlights of Saturday’s Jack Frost midwinter race, put on west of the Berkeley Pier by Encinal Yacht Club.

The new race committee set a nice straight windward/leeward course with inflatable buoys, and got both races off with no delays. They gave most fleets a double sausage in the first race, except for the smaller boats which got a single. In the second race, the fastest fleets got a triple sausage, with the mid-range and smaller boats getting a double.

Results hadn’t been posted yet on Monday night, but should be anytime now at www.encinal.org/2008_racing_program.html. The series has two more months to go.
