Beware the Wall of Death
A little known hazard to navigation has sprung up at the north entrance to the Oakland Estuary. Described as a ‘dredging wall’, it is submerged at high tide, unlit and with warning signs posted on top instead of in front which makes it hard to see until it's too late.

It has already claimed at least one victim, Scott Christensen's J/29 Audacious.
