First foiler ‘up’ on the Bay?

Buzz Blackett’s new Moth went for a flutter off Richmond YC in a brisk, cold breeze of 12-15 knots on Tuesday. They wanted to get out and back in before the rain started. Buzz traded off with ‘Flight Test Engineer’ Dan Brandt, who took out a chase boat and shot video. The boat looked quick even when it wasn't on the foils, and displayed International 14-like speed upwind. Buzz mentioned the Worlds will be on the Gorge this year. Will this boat be available at ‘Sail a Small Boat Day’? Since it’s worth about five good condition, well-equipped Santana 22s, we’re not holding our breath.
