Mike Martin and Jeff Nelson captured the 5o5 Pacific Coast Championship for 2008 in six races this weekend on the windy Cityfront. Howard Hamlin and Andy Zinn followed in second, with Nick Adamson and Steve Bourdow in third. Complete results can be found on host St. Francis Yacht Club’s site. You may notice that some of these names sound familiar from other fleets, for starters the Vanguard 15s and Aussie 18s, plus some big boat stars, so be sure to take a look to see who you recognize.

The 5o5 website calls it “perhaps the most competitive non-Olympic class (so you can race it and still have a job).” See www.int505.org for more.
