Finishers in SSS TransPac
Al Hughes’ Open 60 Dogbark finished the Singlehanded TransPac on Thursday morning at 0604 Hawaii time, arriving in Hanalei Bay, Kauai, after almost 12 days at sea. On his last full day of sailing, Al reported, “A booby tried unsuccessfully to land on top of the rolling mast. It was not without trying on its part or laughter on mine. I may have gotten some video of it. The camera was loaned by Norcal Sailing.” We look forward to seeing your video, Al, and congratulations!

Jeff Lebesch on the 54-ft Hammerhead trimaran Hecla (the only multihull), finished Friday morning, after sailing close to the rhumbline the whole way. Meanwhile, Wen Lin on the Swan 47 Wenlimir has turned back to Tiburon. Na Na, Dwight Odom’s Saga 43 that had to restart twice due to charging problems, has caught up to the fleet.
