The final day of the Jack Frost featured great conditions (again), competitive racing, and a surprise guest - a Beneteau 310 that started with the SF 30 fleet. Things didn’t look quite right to the crew of Jitterbug. Their race instructions didn’t seem to match the action - for instance, everyone left after two races, but they thought they were supposed to sail three. It wasn’t until that evening that they learned they weren’t sailing in the Big Daddy Regatta! Everyone had a good laugh about it, and the laughs would continue aboard Jitterbug on Sunday.

The Jack Frost was held not too far from the Berkeley Pier, north of Treasure Island, while the Big Daddy raced on three courses: Southampton Shoal, Olympic Circle, and Deep Water (south of the Olympic Circle).

Next up on their schedule, March 22’s Rites of Spring for singlehanded, doublehanded and women’s full crews. Held in the Slot near the vernal equinox, this regatta has been very windy in recent years.
