Australia Here I Come
“Australia here I come! I am happy to inform you that my dream is about to come true,” writes 16-year-old Michael Radziejowski of Alameda. Michael’s dream is to indulge his new passion, racing his International Canoe, at the IC Worlds in Melbourne, Australia, over New Year’s. He had the boat, the talent, and the ambition; his only obstacle was how to pay for the trip. But many friends and supporters have rallied to help out, and the dream is becoming a reality, as Mikey will fly out on Christmas Eve.

“Because of your generous donations,” he told his supporters, “I will be on the starting line. All the pieces are falling into place, and I am so excited to be able to participate in this event. I will continue updating my blog so you can follow my adventures: www.mikeyradz.blogspot.com. I will try to post after every race.”
We’re sure Michael would still welcome donations to help pay expenses. See the above blog for more info. You can follow the Worlds at www.icworlds.org.
