Big Dinghy Regatta

April 17, 2012

With a busy racing weekend Richmond YC's Big Dinghy sort of got lost on the agenda. With the El Toros doing the Bullship and chicks sailing in the Women Skippers Regatta, the Big Dinghy still offered up some great racing around the buoys on Saturday and a pursuit race around two islands on Sunday, all in moderate breeze.

Snipes, Bytes, Thistles, I-14s, Wylie Wabbits, Formula 18s, a multihull open class, and two monohulls open classes raced at Southampton Shoals or inside the Richmond breakwater on Saturday.

In Sunday's pursuit race, 11 boats raced the short course around Brooks Island only, and 28 raced the long course, which included Red Rock too, 26 of whom finished.
